Fire Safety Awareness Courses

Our Fire Safety Awareness Course is designed specifically for small to medium-sized businesses, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet their legal obligations under current legislation. This course not only offers valuable advice and recommendations for improving fire safety but also includes a practical module on live fire extinguishing. Delegates will have the opportunity to use fire extinguishers to control and extinguish controlled fires.

The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 oversees fire safety laws in Scotland, whereas the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 governs them in England and Wales.

In accordance with UK law, an organization's designated responsible person is required to:

  • Make certain that staff members receive enough training and guidance on the safety measures and activities required to safeguard both themselves and other people on the property.
  • This training should be renewed regularly as required.
  • Assign one or more capable people to assist in putting preventative and protective measures into action.

Each employee must complete a certain amount of fire awareness training, which may vary depending on the fire risk on the property. This will ensure that everyone is properly prepared to handle fire-related situations and make the workplace safer.

Our Fire Safety Awareness Course is intended to give companies and their staff the fundamental know-how and abilities required to promote a more secure and compliant fire safety workplace.

A thorough introduction to the essential theory and real-world applications of workplace fire awareness is provided by the Fire Safety Awareness Course. It gives learners the fundamental information and abilities needed to recognise and successfully handle fire safety issues, resulting in a safer workplace.

This fire safety awareness course is intended especially for those who have never taken a fire safety awareness course before and who have no particular duties as fire wardens or fire safety specialists. It functions as a foundational training program to transfer the fundamental information and abilities required for workplace fire safety awareness.

Fire Warden Training

We provide an in-depth and comprehensive examination of every facet of workplace fire safety in our extensive Fire Warden Training course. This long course covers a great deal of ground, including evacuation tactics, fire safety management, and an understanding of both active and passive fire protection systems.

Notably, fire safety laws in Scotland are managed by the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, but in England and Wales they are overseen by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Within an organisation, the accountable individual must:

  • Employees should get appropriate and adequate teaching and training to ensure they understand the required safety procedures and actions to protect themselves and other people on the premises. Periodically, if needed, this instruction should be repeated.
  • Appoint one or more capable individuals to help carry out precautionary and preventative actions.

The degree and breadth of fire awareness training will differ depending on the amount of fire danger on the property, even though all personnel must complete a basic course in the subject. All buildings also need somebody to help with the fire evacuation procedure and make sure everyone inside is safe. Fire wardens provide this crucial function; in addition to helping with evacuations, they also handle continuing fires.

Our Fire Warden Training program is developed to provide people the information and abilities they need to carry out these crucial duties and make workplaces safer while adhering to UK fire safety laws.

A thorough review of the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of workplace fire protection is provided by the Fire protection and Fire Warden Training course. It also explores the vital function of a fire warden in an establishment.

After taking this course, participants will have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of safety and fire prevention, as well as the obligations and tasks related to becoming a fire warden. Through this training, people may successfully contribute to workplace safety and fire prevention by gaining the information and practical skills needed.

Practical Fire Extinguisher Training

Those who have finished a theory-based training course—either online or through an in-house seminar—but lack hands-on fire extinguisher experience are the target audience for the Practical Fire Extinguisher Training course.

In this brief training, participants will learn how to control and put out controlled flames using fire extinguishers through practical application.

The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 outlines Scottish fire safety legislation, distinguishing it from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which governs fire safety in England and Wales.

Within an organisation, the accountable individual must:

  1. Employees should get appropriate and adequate teaching and training to ensure they understand the required safety procedures and actions to protect themselves and other people on the premises. This instruction should be repeated as needed on a regular basis.
  2. Appoint one or more capable individuals to help carry out precautionary and preventative actions.

Although all employees are required to undergo a minimum level of fire awareness training, the extent and complexity of this instruction will differ according on the fire risk rating of the facility. By doing this, people can help create a safer workplace and make sure they are well equipped to respond to fire-related incidents.

For those who have previously taken part in theory-based fire awareness training classes but have not had the opportunity to have hands-on experience utilising fire extinguishers in simulated or actual fire scenarios, this quick course fills in the knowledge gap.

This training program is appropriate for:

  • Individuals who have taken fire awareness or fire warden training but lack actual experience.
  • those whose employment duties may require them to utilise fire extinguishers.
  • Fire extinguisher recognition
  • Classification of fire
  • Safety instruction in the use of fire extinguishers
  • Live fire training using various types of fire extinguishers
  • Q&A
  • Maximum 15 people
  • Duration of 1 Hour (approximately)
  • On completion of the course, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
